Boracay Opening 2019 – Airport to Hotel Transportation Caticlan to Boracay

Posted on by MyBoracayGuide

Welcome to the New and Improved Boracay 2.0

Over the past 6 months Boracay underwent some serious rehabilitation and is ready to open her arms to the world once again. Everyone is very excited to get back to the Island and enjoy her beautiful beaches, delicious restaurants and dazzling nightlife. When you arrive to the Island you will experience a new and improved entry procedure.

Arriving at the Caticlan Airport

Arriving in Caticlan Airport
The new Caticlan airport is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. Guests arriving in Caticlan are currently using a temporary terminal in the town of Nabas about 15 minutes away from the Caticlan Jetty Port.

Getting to the Caticlan Jetty Port

Caticlan Airport Tricycle StandWhen you exit the airport there are a couple of options you can choose from to get to the Caticlan Jetty Port. You can take an tricycle which is a bit of a pain because halfway to the port you need to transfer to a second tricycle due to a conflict between local municipalities. The other option is to book with one of the local airport transportation companies. We recommend MyBoracayGuide for a seamless, hassle-free airport transportation with a friendly guide.

Is your Hotel on the DOT Accreditation List?

Check Your Hotel Voucher

To enter the Island of Boracay, the Department of Tourism is requiring all tourists to hold a voucher for a confirmed hotel reservation from a hotel that is on the list of DOT Accredited Hotels. Approach you the representative and provide them a printed copy of your voucher and they will give you a stamp and allow you to proceed. This policy is strictly enforced. If you do NOT hold a voucher for an accredited hotel you will not be granted entry.

Environmental and Terminal Fees Caticlan Jetty Port

Environmental and Terminal FeeTo help protect the local environment and improve facilities of the Jetty Port you are required to pay the environmental and terminal fees before entering Boracay.

Terminal Fee (one-way) – 100
Environmental Fee – 75

The Boat to Boracay

Bangka Boat to Boracay
The classic style Bangka boat is the most popular way to cross the Tablas Strait and on to Boracay. To meet the Philippine Coast Guard safety requirements all guests are required to fill out passenger manifest which including; name, sex, and date of birth and present this form when boarding the boat. Once you are on the boat please put on a life jacket as you prepare for departure.

    Hi,

I would like to ask how and where to buy tickets from the Port in Boracay going back to the Airport? I’m planning to DIY it instead of arranged transfers. Thank you!

    • HI Aeron Paul,

Thank you for reaching us your concern.

You can buy and pay your boat tickets in Cagban Port beside the window, after arriving at the jetty port there’s a van/tricycle outside going to Caticlan/Kalibo airport.

I hope this information helps! If you have other concerns please let me know.

    Hi, My Boracay Guide!

If it isnt too much… Can you help me have an idea on how much time and cost of the trip from Caticlan Airport to Boracay Station 3 would cost?
Like the cost of the tricycle to the Caticlan jetty, jetty fare price, environmental and terminal, tricyle from Cagban Jetty?

How much does tricycle rides usually cost? Is it paid per head if we are 3 to ride?

    Thanks in advance!

    • Hello Architect Ena!

Thank you for contacting us! We would highly suggest checking our transportation options on our website. You don’t have to worry about your transfer. We will take care of your transfer from the moment you step out of the airport up to the doorstep of your hotel.

Hi if i book to a acredited hotel for a specefic time, however i exceeded that stay by booking to other hotel, would I be facing any problem if in case that happens?

    • MyBoracayGuide says:

      Dear Jayson,

Dear Jayson, You need a confirmed reservation at an accredited hotel to enter the island. If your reservation expires and you stay at another hotel I don’t believe you need to update the local authorities on your new hotel reservation. If you leave the island and want to enter again you will need a reservation at an accredited hotel.

If you have any other questions we are always here to help and support.

      Thanks and sincerely,

      Chad

hello.. what is the earliest boat trip from boracay to caticlan? because we have a flight @ 7:30 am.

    • MyBoracayGuide says:

      Dear Arnel,

The boats operate 24 hours a day. There are limited number of boats running throughout the night and not as many passengers, so sometimes there can be a longer wait time between trips. Give yourself extra time on your departure so you are sure not to miss your flight. If you need any help or assistance please give us a call at 288 9999 or email info@myboracayguide.com.

      Thanks and sincerely,

      Chad

  33. Bonnie says:

We are family of 6 adults.
    1. Is it better to charter a boat from Caticlan jetty to resort at bulabog beach?
    2. Can seniors and PWD get discounts on boat and van?

    • MyBoracayGuide says:

      Dear Bonnie,

The boats run between Caticlan Jetty Port and Cagban Jetty Port. They don’t drop off at White beach or Bulabog beach following the one entry one exit policy. Charters are available, but in general, the boats fill up quickly and there isn’t much wait time.

I recommend using the First Class Transfer which includes a chartered boat and a private van. Use the promo-code: 60+Senior to receive 20% Off.

If you have any questions please email us at info@myboracayguide.com we are always here to help and support.

      Thanks and sincerely,

      Chad

Is it true that without a voucher we cant enter boracay? How about just a confirmed booking in booking.com?
