Mechanics

  • MBG will offer select hotels and rooms to our partner network.
  • MBG will promote these featured hotels as ‘better than OTA’ specials
  • MBG will focus these direct bookings into select partner hotels with an emphasis on volume

Restrictions

  • MBG will not use these rates online, therefore online rate parity is not an issue.
  • MBG will not use these rates for online hotel booking.

(our B2C online hotel booking is in partnership with Agoda/Booking. Our B2B Program is directly with your hotel)

How it works

  • Hotel will offer MBG a discounted net rate. This rate must be Best Online Rate and referenced with Agoda/Booking commissionable by 20%. The hotel guarantees that the MBG B2B rate is always Agoda/Booking sell rate with 20% commission (Hotels give 17% ++ discount to Agoda/Booking as commission, plus additional promotions, incentives, insider/genius deals;  so the MBG 20% will be the same or lower commission you are giving OTAs hotel anyways.  The hotel should make a commitment to MBG that this rate agreement will at all times be maintained. MBG is looking for special deals here for our special partners)
  • Hotel will offer MBG an allocation for this room type. This allocation will be automatically released back to the hotel 21 days before check-in.
  • Rate should be fairly static. We can make limited changes to the rate as requested by the hotel, but this is limited to once per month. We are advertising these discounted rates, and our partners need to be able to book at the advertised rate.
  • Allocation should be static. In some special cases, the hotel may need to ask for the allocated room. We want to work with you closely, and we can make limited exceptions here, but for the most part we would like a fixed allocation that is automatically released 21 days before arrival.
  • Super peak dates are excluded from this program. We know that hotels want their entire inventory for direct bookings at super peak.
  • This allocation can be limited to a single room type.

Payment Process

  • B2B accounts are all special accounts. Partners, agencies, and retailers pay us at different times; mostly after the guest checks out. We need our payouts to be on an automated fixed system.
  • All payments to hotel are in PHP and direct bank deposit.
  • All payments to hotel occur after the guest checks out. For example, all November checkouts up to November 30 will be paid in the second week of December.
  • All MBG B2B reservations are no cancellation. If we book it, you are guaranteed the full amount of the booking in all cases.

Administratively simple

  • Instead of continually updating rates, hotels give us a fairly static rate, and we do the rest.
  • Allocation is relatively simple, in that the only work on your part is to add back that room to your inventory in the event that it goes unsold.

Advantage

  • MyBoracayGuide will concentrate and focus our guests into limited number of participating hotels, and the hotels get a targeted source of guests.

Selective Hotels

  • Special B2B Partnerships are not available to all hotels. We are looking to enter into cooperation agreements with hotels that would like to access special sources of guests; and hotels that will ensure MBG has rates that are ‘exactly the same as Agoda/Booking, commissionable by 20%. Our goal here is to work with 20 Hotels that are committed to this program and pricing system, and we can, administratively simply, place our guests into these partner hotels. If you can commit to better than Agoda/Booking pricing, then we can commit to promoting and sending you a special stream of reservations.
